Resistomap Team
February 14, 2025
As our operations grow, so does our team! It's time to officially introduce two fantastic new members who have been with us for a while now—a new laboratory manager and a UK-based account manager. Their dedication, passion for precision, and go-getter attitude make them a perfect fit, and we’re super excited to have them on board! Meet our newest team members:
Chiara Borsetto
Position: Account manager

Hello, I’m Chiara, and I’m excited to be part of Resistomap as an Account Manager based in the United Kingdom!
With over a decade of experience in Academia as a Researcher focused on environmental microbial communities and the effects of anthropogenic pollution on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), I developed a deep interest in implementing sustainable solutions to address the growing AMR crisis.
Joining the dynamic Resistomap team has provided me with the opportunity to continue making a meaningful impact by bridging the gap between the scientific community and key stakeholders in the field of environmental AMR monitoring.
At Resistomap, I am committed to supporting the scientific community and industry in advancing AMR monitoring efforts to protect human, animal, and environmental health.
Tessa Häkkänen
Position: Laboratory Manager

Hello! I’m Tessa, and I have recently started as Laboratory Manager at Resistomap.
My background is in public health microbiology, in an accredited laboratory focusing on protocol and process development, as well as bioinformatics.
Throughout my career I’ve been involved in One Health, collaborating with veterinarians and public health professionals to understand the connections between human, animal, and environmental health. Resistomap’s mission aligns closely with my interest in using science against the challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
My goal at Resistomap is to streamline lab processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the reliability and robustness of our laboratory results. By refining workflows and strengthening our operations, I hope to contribute to the impact Resistomap is making in antimicrobial resistance monitoring.
I’m excited to learn and grow with this talented team!
